Features
XODA targets the end-user allowing organizing of documents in a professional manner:
- BSD license,
- adding/editing descriptions of files and directories with color highlighting (like the GMail labels),
- assigning filters to files and directories (can be turned off),
- sorting items in a directory "on the fly" based on different criteria,
- getting detailed information about a file or directory including:
- size,
- type,
- creation time,
- number of files and directories (in a particular directory),
- last modification time (which is editable, adding an additional sorting help),
- preview of images as well as files set as editable (usually plain text files).
- creating files and directories,
- moving, renaming and deleting files and directories,
- uploading (multiple) files,
- transferring files to XODA from the Web using URL (without downloading to the local machine),
- multiple users support with users management,
- browser based editing of the preferences and style as well as changing the password,
- simple and advanced searching.
can i translate xoda?
Hi pertuk!
Unfortunately it is not easy to translate XODA as the output is integrated into the code for now. Recoding for pulling out the text output into an external array structure would require some time which I don't have at present.
I'm really sorry to disappoint you and to turn down a real help but this is the reality for now.
Best of luck and happy Holidays! :)
Hi Guys, I *love* Xoda! It is awesome! You guys rock! Do you know if it's possible to add an upload option for non-root users? I don't want a user to be able to do anything else... just upload & download. Cheers, Richard
Hi Richard,
we have a discussion in our forum about users with upload privileges. Writing my last posting there I was thinking about the very same feature you are suggesting. The main problem for me is the time. Once I find some, I am planing on implementing those things.
Thank you for the warm words! :)
